read-a-thon April 2009 I’m moving into the home stretch, now. Getting pretty sleepy and I don’t think I can stay awake for longer than maybe an hour or two.

Ended up starting Shopaholic & Baby– the Bond books had really small print, and all the (short) graphic novels were filled with stick-thin characters who looked liked they’d break in a strong breeze. I hate that.

Anyway, S&B is quite enjoyable, although of course it’s a lot like the last Shopaholic book. Except with babies instead of long-lost sisters.

Stats:
810 pages read
3 books finished
1 book currently reading

The books:
Shopaholic & Baby Shopaholic & Sister Travel Light Ororon 1

I’ll have a wrap-up post in the morning. As soon as I can type coherently again, that is!

read-a-thon April 2009 I’m a little late getting this post up because I wanted to finish Shopaholic & Sister before doing totals and things. Hee! It was really fun, though Becky always drives me nuts with her inability to say “no, I don’t need this lotion I won’t ever use,” etc.

I’ve been keeping myself fed and caffeinated (just had dinner about an hour ago, actually), and I think now I’m going to make myself some tea and maybe some toast or something. Who knew reading for so long a time could take so much out of a person?

Stats:
730 pages read
3 books finished

The books:
Shopaholic & Sister Travel Light Ororon 1

For my next book I think maybe…a James Bond? I hope you don’t have to start at the beginning of the series to enjoy it; I’ve only got ones in the middle. Or otherwise I might start on another graphic novel.

Next update will be in about three hours! Keep it up, everyone!

read-a-thon April 2009 I was getting a headache after my last update, so I took a break (and a shower), then started in on Shopaholic & Sister by Sophie Kinsella. I love Sophie Kinsella, and her shopaholic books, while slightly ridiculous, are always hilarious and never fail to cheer me up. I’m having fun reading it!

I do feel kinda bad that I’ve been neglecting the mini-challenges all day. I’ve only looked at the website once! Is there any particularly good ones coming up that I should definitely do?

And finally, I wanted to say THANK YOU to all the lovely cheerleaders who have been stopping by and, well, cheering me on. It makes me feel like not giving up, so I really appreciate it! :D

527 pages read

read-a-thon April 2009 Okay, so I didn’t actually wake up until hour 5 (whoops), so hour 7 is actually my hour 2! Er. If that makes sense? But obviously I’ll still count time from when the read-a-thon actually started.

(I don’t think I’m entirely awake yet.)

I’ve read one book so far, the first volume of a manga called The Demon Ororon. It was pretty horrible. I think my next book will be a YA fantasy one, and then maybe another manga.

Anyway, totals so far:
240 pages read
1 book finished

Visual interest time!
Ororon 1

My next update will be in about three hours. If you’d like hourly updates (when I remember to), be sure to check out my Twitter!

How are you doing in the read-a-thon so far?
