I am in the 5th grade and my assignment is to read a book of “Historical Fiction.” This series looks very interesting to me but my teacher says that it is not historical fiction. What do you think?

Yay! It’s really good and has much about the battle between druids and Christians which I found most enlightening.

I’m actually in the middle of The Naming right now, but I’m planning on reading The Winter King on Monday. A friend recommended it to me, so I figure I should get on it quickish.

I think you’ll like them! They’re definitely better than that Arthurian graphic novel you tried reading a few days ago– no slime monsters anywhere.

I haven’t read Mary Stewart’s Arthurian series, but I HAVE checked out The Crystal Cave from the library. I’ve read about 3 pages, and at first glance it does seem very like the Crossley-Holland books, in writing style if nothing else.

I used to be such a big fan of Arthur mythology, but I haven’t read any new King Arthury books in YEARS. Did you like the Mary Stewart ones? I might try this series & the Mary Stewart ones soon…
