There's a tiny bit of direct sequel in that the story is sort of about the consequences of the ending of the first book - so one of the new Wardens turns up (as an important secondary character) and is a bit reluctant to take on his job. It's a bit more lighthearted in some ways - but don't go expecting a book about Faris or you'll be severely disappointed. The sequel isn’t really a sequel as such – it’s not about Faris – it’s about Jane and about the men’s version of Greenlaw. It's the bits in the middle I'm not sure about. I think because there was some politics in it I sort of...skimmed? And maybe that's why I'm not entirely sure what was going on? But the psychedelic magic scenes didn't help, lol. And yeah, there's at least one sequel. I think there might be a third, but I haven't looked very hard.
