TSS: December 6 (Linotte)

The Sunday Salon.com I have got a really busy week at school coming up, so I’m going to take a small blogging break. That means I won’t be posting anything for…probably at least a week. Next week is a little bit less busy and so I can post more, but for at least this week I’d like not to have to worry about doing memes and reviews and things.

It would have been slow this week anyway because it’s taking me a while to get through Linotte, that diary of Anais Nin’s that I talked about Thursday. Not because I don’t like it, or because it’s boring, but just because I don’t want to rush and finish it all at once. I really, really like Linotte, and I want to be able to enjoy it. I’m about halfway through now, and it’s getting better and better. Anais is annoying me much less, especially since she even wrote (when she was 14-15) that the way she acted when she was younger (11-ish) was silly and ridiculous. I’m so glad she realized that, lol!

Have you ever deliberately slowed down on reading a book because it was so good?

  1. This looks like a very interesting series of diaries.
I’ve read it a couple time since then, but when I read Cane River by Lalita Tademy the first time I was fighting with myself whether to slow down and enjoy the ride or speed it up and get to the conclusion.
Good luck with school this week!

  2. School can sap your energy. One more week and you’ll have lots more time!
