Thursday Tea Thursday Tea is a weekly meme hosted by yours truly. To play along, all you need is some tea, a book, and the answers to these questions: what tea are you drinking (and do you like it)? What book are you reading (and do you like it)? Tell us a little about your tea and your book, and whether or not the two go together.

The book: Today I’m reading Holy Disorders by Edmund Crispin, which came in from a Paperbackswap user yesterday. I’ve had it on my wishlist for a while, so I was really excited to get it! I was expecting it to be good (which it is), but I wasn’t expecting it to be so funny! It kind of reminds me of P.G. Wodehouse, in a way– that offbeat British humor before it got cynical in the 1980s.

The tea: I’ve discovered a new flavor of tea at the local convenience store/deli thing on campus: Green Rooibos. I don’t normally like green tea, but I like rooibos and so I decided to try it out. It’s delicious! I didn’t even have to add any sugar or milk; it was fine just on its own. It’s got that herbal-y tang from the green tea bits, and the sweet/smooth flavor from the rooibos bits. Really good!

Do they go together? British books go with any sort of tea, really, but these two go particularly well together. The book is playful, and I think it matches the playfulness of the tea’s flavor really well.

What are you drinking/reading this Thursday?
