		<description>Aww, I&#039;m sorry you didn&#039;t enjoy this quite as much as you had hoped to. I know that I&#039;ve had many disappointments because books weren&#039;t what I expected them to be, and that is always frustrating, haha.</description>

I think you have hit the nail on the head on one thing that makes reviewing very difficult--many times we criticize an author for not writing the book we think they should have written.  In this case, if you look a little deeper, you&#039;ll see I think that this is a montage or perhaps homage to many writers of that time period: echoes of Dickens, Verne, Stevenson, Shelley, Hugo and probably more...</description>

It happens oftener than I&#039;d like to admit - I&#039;ll have some idea about a book that&#039;s completely wrong , and then feel furious with it when it turns out to be different.  If only there were a way to pick out books to read without knowing anything about them beforehand...</description>
