Birdwatching: Norse mythology

I love Once Upon a Bookshelf‘s Listed feature, where 10 books with a similar theme or trope are put together in a list. I’ve been wanting to do something similar for myself, so I’m yanking the idea and calling it “Birdwatching” because I thought it sounded vaguely clever. Yes/no?

Anyway, I’ve been really interested in Norse mythology ever since I took a class on Beowulf last year, and luckily for me it seems like other people are interested, too, because there are quite a few good books out there with Norse gods and heroes in them. Here are seven that I can think of:

1. Runemarks by Joanne Harris (2009).
2. American Gods by Neil Gaiman (2001).
3. Heroes of the Valley by Jonathan Stroud (2009).
4. Travel Light by Naomi Mitchison (1952).
5. Summerland by Michael Chabon (2002).
6. The Sea of Trolls by Nancy Farmer (2004).
7. East by Edith Pattou (2003).

Do you know of any good books with Norse mythology in them? I know Diana Wynne Jones’ done one, but I haven’t read that yet. Neil Gaiman’s done another one which, again, I haven’t read yet. What else?
