Sponsors and Affiliates
Read my disclosure policy here.
Ads
The top left ad and the ones at the bottom of each post are Google ads. The one in the footer is a Chitika ad. They change whenever they feel like it/when it thinks you aren’t looking/etc. and I get money when they lure you into clicking on them. Please only click on them if/when you’re interested in doing so!
Affiliates
I get a small percentage of what you spend whenever you buy something via my affiliate ads and links. I am currently affiliates with Amazon and Book Depository. Their image ads are in the left sidebar sort of in the middle; basically every link to Amazon or Book Depository is an affiliate link.
The Swagbucks ad in the left sidebar (near the bottom) is also an affiliate thing, but instead of money I get points and I only get points if you set up an account with them. Check out this post for more on why Swagbucks is neat.
What I use the money for
As I am currently unemployed, I use the money I get from affiliate sales/ads to help pay off my student loans. Eventually, whenever I have a job/have paid off my loans, I plan on using the money for maintaining this blog, hosting giveaways, and doing other fun things that don’t cause me stress.
Possible other questions you may have
Do you make a lot of money through ads/affiliate earnings?
No. Basically I make less than $10 a month, which is unfortunately almost useless. After a few months, though, it starts to add up and becomes less useless and that makes me happy.
Are you going to keep fiddling with ads?
Yes. I may add more ads, switch affiliates, whatever.
But I don’t like ads!/Ads are evil!/Book blogs shouldn’t have ads!/etc.
Get over it. I need money; why shouldn’t I get that money from doing something that I love?
